Hello and welcome — I’m Kaveh (Michael) Amiri. My art tells stories where words fall short. Feel free to explore, reflect, and reach out if anything speaks to you.

I am a visual artist based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, where I live and create. My journey into the world of art began before the age of three, when I started drawing my great aunt. That early sketch was more than a childhood moment—it marked the beginning of a lifelong passion.

By high school, I was illustrating and painting movie posters for classmates and neighbors. One of my favorites was a hand-painted tribute to Love Story, featuring Ryan O’Neal and Ali MacGraw. It became my signature work that year—and led to two commissions, fueling my confidence and creativity.

Art has always been a space where I feel most free, imaginative, and open. I love to explore new techniques, materials, and ideas—constantly pushing myself to reinterpret the world through my own lens. Much like journalism, I believe visual art tells a story. Every painting I create invites viewers into a dialogue about how we see, feel, and reflect on life—filtered through our experiences, biases, hopes, and curiosities.

My work often engages with critical social, cultural, and political themes as I see them. Whether I’m working with canvas, paper, digital tools, or photography, I bring a personal edge to every piece—one that challenges perception and sparks conversation. Art is my way of sharing a perspective, a memory, or a question—without needing to say a word.

In 2024, my work was exhibited in group shows in Washington, D.C. and Chevy Chase, MD. I’m also honored to be a featured artist in Circle Arts Magazine and part of the 40th edition of Spotlight: Contemporary Art Magazine, which highlights exceptional fine artists from around the world.

If you are interested to purchase any of my artwork, please contact me via email and will process the payment accordingly. All sales are final. There will be a handling and postage charge pending for each piece based on size and weight. Thank you.
