About the work

Red Light District prides itself on its liberal and tolerant attitude, as I tried to capture it in this painting by adding lines, scratches and paint drips. Embracing that many people go to this part of town, looking for prostitution, soft drugs and pornography. And that it is because we are only humans, good or bad, we are what we are. The painting captured being inside the house behind the prostitute (her back toward me) looking outside where people gather. The upper left hand side represent figures (people) walking, stopping by and watching.
